OPTIMAL LIVING LIFE COACHING
HELPING YOU DISCOVER, DESIGN, AND LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!
You sense it.
Somewhere in your life you feel like something isn’t measuring up.
Maybe it's in your career, or your physical well being. Could be a relationship, your finances, or your overall sense of happiness. You might know exactly what the issue is, or you may not. Perhaps you have a goal, or a dream that you have been harboring for years and despite your best efforts to move forward you find
yourself stuck. Either way, you are experiencing a nagging feeling of dissatisfaction on some
level, and you don’t like it.
THE PROBLEM
The common response to this dissatisfaction is to discover and eradicate what we
believe are our weakness and shortcomings that keep us stuck and unable to
achieve our goals. We hyperfocus on the problem, straining to find the solution.
It’s a popular approach but one that’s not very effective. Or particularly inspiring.
We know now that what we focus on grows, so if I am focused on a perceived
weakness, that weakness will grow while l fail to see what strengths I could be
employing that will propel me forward.
THERE IS A SOLUTION!
Strengths Based Coaching.
By shifting the focus to what works from what doesn’t, we are empowered to
overcome the faulty belief systems that keep us stuck and create achievable
action plans that propel us forward. Optimal Living Life Coaching provides a
structured framework that helps drives you toward real results!

COACHING: WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT
Coaching focuses on where you are presently and where you are headed, with a goal of helping you gain clarity about your vision, eliminate obstacles to your success, accelerate the pace of personal growth and achieve results that empower you to live your best life – professionally and personally. We can focus on any area of your life: Relationships, Finances, Spiritual Life, Work and Business, or Physical Health and Environments.
While coaching is forward-focused, counseling tends to deal more with past issues in which you may find yourself stuck and struggling. We may occasionally discuss something that has occurred in the past, for the purpose of clarifying the present, but your coaching will not focus on resolving the past. A simple rule of thumb to know whether you should be in coaching or counseling: If your past is an issue, counseling is your best option. If your past is simply a fact (regardless of whether the circumstances were difficult or negative), you are probably ready for coaching. If it appears that there is an issue for which you may need counseling, I will suggest it. With the support of a counselor or therapist, some individuals choose to engage in coaching and counseling simultaneously, but with a focus on different areas of life for each service.

COACHING VS CONSULTING
A coach focuses on helping you walk your unique path to success. As the client, you are responsible for the results you receive because of coaching. I help you discover how to become more of who you need to be to achieve those results and identify what you may need to do differently. A consultant takes responsibility for a specific project, acting as a specialist, providing specific deliverables and knowledge. I believe in your ability to fully experience your potential and will provide a safe, consistent space for you to develop that potential.
KEY TERMS
What is Coaching? The International Coach Federation defines coaching as,
“partnering with clients in a thought -provoking and creative process that inspires
them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
Positive Psychology is NOT toxic positivity. It is the scientific study of optimal
functioning. It aims to discover and promote the factors that allow individuals
and communities to thrive. Psychology, in the past, has focused solely on when
things go wrong, such as disease and mental illness, Positive Psychology focus is
on when things go right that enables people to achieve personal and professional
satisfaction and resiliency.
PROGRAMS
The benefits of coaching build over time. In order to make this experience as
valuable as possible, I have created a minimum coaching period of three months
with all of my clients. I recommend six to twelve months to establish longer-term
support as you make major transitions and changes in your personal life and
professional life. After the initial period, you may extend as long and as often as
you like.
After an initial conversation to determine we are a good fit, each of my clients will
take two assessments prior to our first session to determine your character
strengths and the “State of your Life”.
These two tools will be used to lay the foundation for our time together and to draw from as we move forward.
We will meet twice a month for about an hour each time. The first session will be reviewing your assessments and discussing what brought you to coaching and what you would like to get out of it. Each session after will be a deep dive into the areas and goals you would like to work on.
There will be homework in between each session, which is always designed by you. While coaching is powerful the real magic happens in between each session as you take the action steps you discover that will move you in the direction you want your life to go.
It’s time to flip the switch and say YES to your best life!
"It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on Earth--- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had."
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
And the Lord answered me; Write the vision,
and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run.
